Fun Weekend

1st of October

This evening, we had a roof party at Joyce's and Santiago's house. So cool! Till late in the night, we were sitting outsite with some wine, crisps, cheese, ... and Santiago started playing the guitar and singing Ecuadrian songs. The stars made this evening complete!

2nd of October
At 2am (yes 2 o'clock during the night), we went to Extra. This is a hypermarket that is open 24/24. So crazy to go shopping during the night. But the advantage is that is't very quiet.

At 6am, we woke up for the trekking. Our night was too short, and we slept on the bus to Araras. We arrived at a farm with a pool, where families go during weekends to rest.

This was the beginning of the trek in the wild nature of the cerrado (the typical nature around Brasília).

First some stretching exercises

We passed through very dry areas, and some km further nature changed into a green plaine. This was so weird, but I really enjoyed the views.
After lunch at the farm, we jumped into the pool to refresh a little. I guess it was arount 30 - 35 °C, so too hot for a little Belgian girl ;-).
To end the trip, we went to a cavern, a whole in the earth, with steep partitions. The cavern was the "house" for different wildlife. We've even seen a monkey and some exotic green birds.
This was so wonderful to experience national geographics by myself! I couldn't believe my own eyes.
