Many people turned one year older lately, so there were many birthday parties. It´s the habit in Brasilia to invite your friends to a bar and drink all night long. In some bars, the person who´s birthday it is, receives one liter of beer to drink from a special very long neck glass. This always turns out funny. And in the end of the evening, everyone pays for his own drinks. So you don´t bring presents for the one who´s birthday it is, but you pay your own drinks. I don´t know what I prefer: receiving presents like in Belgium or a huge party with all your friends. Maybe a combination ;-)
